President of the Board of Metronak International TransportYılmaz Bal stated that they had delivered the aid materialto Pakistan that suffered earthquake disasterfree of charge.
Bal stated that their aim was to repaythe debt of the Turkish people to Pakistan that had aided them years ago and said: “ Turkish people will aid much more than the aid they had received. We will also do our share anddeliver the aid materialto the locations of need in the most speedy way. This is our obligation.”Bal also stated that they had delivered the aid material of various charity organizations to Pakistan until todayandsaid that there was no transportation to Pakistan andthedeliveries undertakenby nowwere realized under difficult conditions and as transshipments. He further said: “ As we know that the deliveries are aid material, even under these difficulties, we are delivering them to our brothers Pakistani people. This wasmade possible by our dedicated colleagues at the transshipment points. Up until now we have delivered aid material ofvarious organizations by 15 vehicles and we are stil continuing to do so.”
Indicating the difficulties caused bynot being able to deliver the aid material directly, Bal pointed out that the matter should be givenurgent consideration and, until this situationcomes to an end, necessary buraucratic measures should be taken fordeliveries of aid material between the two countries.”
